Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or linguine
- Salt (for pasta water)
For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Seafood:
- 8 oz (225 g) salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz (225 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Boil Water: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
- Melt Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, if using. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the Seafood:
- Sauté Seafood: In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the salmon pieces and shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Cook Salmon: Add the salmon to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through, until it is cooked through and flakes easily. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
- Combine Everything:
- Mix Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Add Seafood: Gently fold in the cooked salmon and shrimp until everything is well coated in the sauce.
- Serve:
- Plate the Dish: Divide the Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo among plates.
- Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Tips:
- For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce for a spicy kick.
- Pair with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
Enjoy your Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo as a rich and creamy seafood pasta dish that’s sure to impress!
